Daniel S. Andress Jr.

Daniel passed away, Saturday, January 25, 2025, at U of M Health West. 

He was born on July 2, 2005, in Kalamazoo, the son of Daniel and Christina (Layton) Andress. Daniel graduated in 2024 from Otsego High School where he enjoyed playing basketball and was on the wrestling team. Daniel was a hard worker and worked in construction for several area businesses. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding dirt bikes and ATV’s, snowmobiling and playing sports. 

Surviving are his parents; sister, Makayla; grandfather, Norman Andress; aunts and uncles, Kimberly Andress, Jeff (Angela) Andress. Mike (Ann) Pallett and Tony (Julie) Pallett; several cousins and extended family members along with his best friends Wyatt Guerrant and his parents Rinda and Mike and D.J. Bemis who were all like family. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Linda Layton and Shirley Andress and by his cousin, Ashley Pallett. 

Friends may visit with Daniel’s family from 6-8 PM, Thursday, January 30, 2025, at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, where a funeral service will take place at 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 31, 2025. 

Burial will follow at Minor Cemetery in Watson Township.
