Oh how he will be missed from all of us that had the pleasure of that BIG smile when he seen ya………..I sure there wasn’t a person that lived in Otsego who didn’t know who Butch was………..I can remember once when John told him he liked ” Yosemite Sam” & to paint a picture for him. He sure did & rode his bike all the way to his body shop to deliver it to him, Butch wasn’t sure of the Dogs but once he found out they liked him he came back alot with more pictures which John mite still have some hanging in the shop. We are so proud of what a great person he turned out to be Wish more could have walked in his shoes & kept a SMILE that BIG on their faces. What a wonderful world this would be……….GOD has called a great MAN home…………..

Butch was like family. Being our neighbor my whole life, I have many good memories of Butch. The one that I will never forget is, how Butch and I worked into the late hours, secretly cleaning out my dads refrigerator in his garage. and we used Dixies garbage bin. My dad never threw anything out so we had to sneak it out. One of the glass jars that had something growing in it, broke all over Butch and me. We laughed so hard, because we stank so bad with whatever was in that big canning jar. We had to use the hose to get it off. it was so funny. Butch was great. He helped everyone whenever he could..
I still have the bird house that he made and painted for me. He will definitely be missed! I know he is in heaven with the rest of the gang, having a party and a great big bon fire.
My deepest sympathies.

I always enjoyed chatting with Butch. I remember him from sliding at Sugar Bowl Hill when we were all kids, (you too, Rick). The last time I chatted with him was a few years ago in Hardings. I know he didn’t know me at first, until I told him my name, then we talked as if we had just talked the day before. Butch was quite a guy and a good man.
