Dale R. Ruth Sr.

Dale passed away, Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. 

He was born November 6, 1958, in Bad Axe, the son of Francis and Lucy (Yax) Ruth. In 1981 Dale began working for the family business, Fairhaven Wood Harvesting, as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver until 2004. He went on to work at Kalamazoo Metal Recycling until his retirement in 2014. 

In his spare time Dale loved gambling, especially playing the lottery and going to the casino. He enjoyed having fun, bowling, gathering with his family and friends and barbecuing. 

Surviving are his children, Dale Jr. (Tricia) Ruth of Bay Port, Jeremy Ruth of Bay Port, Sarah Gremel of Bay Port and Craig (Brenda) Ruth of Otsego; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Elaine Peyok, Rita Bacik, Shirley Ruth, Donna Peyok, Mike Ruth, Tom Ruth, Mary McIhargie and Jim Ruth along with several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Kevin and sister, Carolyn. 

According to his wishes cremation has taken place. 

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 645 2nd St., Bay Port, Michigan.
