Dale I. LaRoy

Dale I. LaRoy went to his eternal home to be with his Savior Jesus Christ, on December 2, 2024. 

He was born on July 18, 1949, to Marvin and Wilma (Sportel) LaRoy. After graduating from Parchment High School, he served as a Sargeant in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. 

Following his honorable discharge Dale returned to Kalamazoo and worked in the construction trades, heating and cooling and then joined the U.S. Postal Service, where he delivered mail until his retirement. Dale loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. 

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gerald “Jerry” and sister-in-law, Sharon. He is survived by his wife, Sherry and brother, Robert “Bob”, sister-in-law, Sandy as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will take place on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 5-7pm at Winkel Funeral Home in Otsego. 

Burial and military honors will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 2pm. 

In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Dale may be made to Kairos Dwelling Place.
