Clark Arnold Imus, born on September 21, 1944, to Jean and Robert A. Imus in Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away at home on March 15th, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and dedication.
A graduate of Mattawan High School, Clark proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He pursued his passion for business from a young age, engaging in various professional development opportunities that led to a successful career in sales. For many years, he worked at the family car dealership, R.A. Imus, in Paw Paw, Michigan, where his commitment to excellence stood out. He later retired from Orrin B. Hayes in the early 2000s, earning a respected reputation in the sales community.
Clark met his wife, Jackie, while she was working as a bartender at the Paw Paw Elks Club. Their connection grew into a strong partnership built on love and unwavering support for one another. Together, they built a devoted and caring family that includes his children: Kimberly (Kevin) Ordway, Frank (Dawn) Miller II, Clark Imus II, Greyson Imus, and Alexandra Imus. He was also a proud grandfather to Jordan (Hannah) Miller, Cameron Ordway, Jack Ordway, August Adams-Miller, Isaac Adams-Miller, Jake Haley, Claire Imus, and June Imus. Great-grandchildren: Mya and Kyren Miller. He also cherished many nieces and nephews.
Since 2012, Clark and Jackie opened their home to foster children, providing love, stability, and guidance to those in need. His kindness and generosity extended to all who knew him. He enjoyed camping, shopping, traveling, and spending time with his family. A lifelong cribbage enthusiast, Clark was known for his playful antics at the game, often claiming victory with a mischievous grin. His humor and easygoing nature made him a joy to be around, leaving lasting memories with friends and family alike.
Clark is also survived by his sister, Roberta (Blaine) Rex; brother, Tom Imus; and sister-in-law, Karen Imus. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean and R.A. Imus; his sisters, Judy Imus and Martha Imus Forrest; and brother, Bill Imus. His life was a celebration of love, generosity, and the relationships he cherished most. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
