Clarence “John” Griffiths

Clarence D. ‘John’ Griffiths of Kalamazoo, MI passed away Friday, March 18, 2016 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.

He was born July 9, 1940 in Kalkaska to Donald and Arlene (Hamacher) Griffiths and had raised his family in Kalamazoo. He had worked at General Motors. Surviving are his wife, Judy Griffiths; sons, Steven (Martha) Griffiths, John Griffiths and Wade (Marin) Griffiths; a granddaughter, Brooklyn; a sister Evelyn Vipond and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; his step father, Adolph Gyurkovitz; a brother and sister-in-law, Garth (Elaine) Griffiths, brother-in-law Coral Vipond.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Congregational Church, Otsego with Pastor Darin Youngs officiating.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. In the few years that I came to know John, he was a friendly and outgoing person with a wonderful soul. He loved to hunt and fish, and loved the out-of-doors. My thoughts and condolences are with you in these saddened times.

We treasure the very special memories we have of our wonderful times together. We will miss John and his unique gift of humor and his love for fishing, hunting and the great outdoors. We pray for God’s peace and comfort during these difficult days. We love you!
