Chris E. Davis

Chris passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021 at his home in Martin.

He was born September 15, 1971 in Kalamazoo, the son of Russell and Linda (Veld) Davis. He worked at Perrigo as a receiving trainer. Chris liked to make people laugh. He loved Halloween, camping, hunting and cooking. He enjoyed drag racing, golf carts, classic cars and attending car shows where he won several trophies. Chris was artistic and liked writing, especially poetry. He loved his family very much especially his children and grandchildren.

Surviving are his fiancée, Jennifer Dedrich; children, Jaeleigh (Ryan) Mcloud, Auston Davis and Kyan Barnes; 3 grandchildren, Kaidence, Ryan and Juleean; brother, Jim (Mary) Davis; sisters, Mary Davis and Erin Davis; his mother, Linda Benwire; father, Russell (Joyce) Davis along with many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and step-father, Allan Benwire.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the Martin United Methodist Church with Pastor Maggie Stoken officiating.

Chris you will be greatly missed that’s for sure. You can finally say you made it to first shift. I remember bumping into you at the store and you were reaching something on the top shelf in the back. You joked about being so tall and I joked about being so short. I’ll be keeping your friends and family in my thoughts.
