To My Aunt Betsy – My Uncle Charles was an honorable man. I’ll always remember him for taking me to the speedway and for showing me how to shoot his 44 magnum up at the cabin. These are great boyhood memories and I appreciate his part in my life. May his soul be blessed by the grace of God.

Betsy,
I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s a loss to a lot of people and to the community of Plainwell. Charlie was probably the all around nicest guy in our class of ’57! He will be missed by many.

To Betsy, Sharon, Marty and Cathy, and Families. Please know that we are thinking of all of you on your loss of Charlie. He was a great guy and will be missed by so many people in the Plainwell area. He always had such a nice, modest, easy going personality and did so much for the community, and was so appreciated by all. May your special memories and photos of Charlie bring you peace and comfort in the coming weeks and months. We always enjoyed having coffee with him a few years ago in the coffee shop at the old Harding’s store in downtown Plainwell. He was so interesting to talk to. We are so sorry for your loss and will be thinking of all of you as the days come and go and sending you our most sincere sympathy. Take care.

Dear Betsy,
So sorry for your loss of Charlie. When we lived on Sycamoe Bend
& during the winter months as I left for work Charlie was always
out in the drive cleaning snow. When I returned in the evening
he was out there, I would stop an ask if he was out all dayhis answers YES we always joked about mowing yard also.
Told me about the Rosd Kill Rest in Alberta, Al. We loved it.
He will be missed by many friends,
.Sharalyn & Dick Downing

Betsy, we are so sorry about the passing of Charlie. We met both of you while eating breakfast at various restaurants in Plainwell. Charlie was always so kind and happy. He was a very friendly person and he always greeted us warmly as he did everyone. We are not able to attend his funeral as Sue is in the hospital getting a new heart.
Love Sue and Dave Fleser
