Charles E. Haring

Chuck passed away, Monday, September 23, 2024, at Kauhale in Otsego. 

He was born February 13, 1947, in Kalamazoo, the son of Edward and Verda (Whitmore) Haring. Chuck proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a truck driver for many years, driving for American Freight and Consolidated Freight until his retirement. 

Chuck enjoyed following NASCAR, spending time at the Kalamazoo Speedway and watching modified and sprint car races. On July 13, 1978, in Paw Paw, he married Lorraine Smith who survives. 

Also surviving are his son, Aaron Haring; grandson, Thomas Haring who was a ray of sunshine in his life; special brother-in-law, Fred Smith; sister-in-law, Nan; siblings, Nancy, Irene, Phillip and Ron along with several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Janet, Richard and Sharon. 

According to his wishes cremation has taken place. 

A celebration of Chuck’s life will be held at a later time.
