Chad Merriam

Chad Eric Merriam of Allegan passed away September 26, 2012 in Hopkins. Chad was born November 27, 1977 in Kalamazoo to Charles and Diane (Spohn) Merriam. For many years he was employed as a well driller. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, camping and playing his guitar. More than anything, Chad loved his family.

Surviving are his mother and step-father, Diane and Joe Malone of Florida; his fiancée, Lorinda Weaver of Allegan; his children, John and Austin Kiewiet and Shawn Merriam, all of Kalamazoo, Cynthia Weaver, Robert Cantrell Jr. (Son-in-law) and Chad Eric Weaver-Merriam of Allegan; brothers, Troy Merriam of Battle Creek, Chris Malone and Michael Malone of Florida; grandparents, Mary Merriam of Parchment, Bernadine Veenkant of Florida and Charles Spohn of South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles David Merriam; and grandfathers, Clarence Merriam and Herman Veenkant.

Cremation has taken place and no public services are planned.
