Our Lord blesses us in so many ways – a beautiful sunrise that invites us to begin again. . .birds joyfully singing – just because. . .the sound of children’s laughter. . .and the special love of a husband. . .father. . .grandpa. Bruce was all of these and so much more.

Always ready to lend a helping hand, share his vast knowledge with a project or problem, or enjoy a quiet moment just sitting with his beloved rescue dog, Cruiser. He loved that dog so! He never missed a chance to share how Cruiser came into his and Brenda’s lives. God truly blessed them!

We cherish our time in Ludington in the summer and becoming ‘snowbirds’ with Bruce and Brenda – especially our first trip to Texas! We all decided the ‘hill country’ wasn’t for us and headed south.

Bruce loved the beauty of Gulf Shores and having our ‘Sunday drives’ exploring the area.

When he would suggest having hot fudge sundaes for supper we would all jump at the chance and head to Scoops.

Our hearts will be empty – because we can’t see him – but our hearts can be full – of the love that he shared.

We can close our eyes and pray – or we can open our eyes – and see all that he has left.

We will share tears that Bruce is gone – but we can also smile because he lived.

Bruce is at peace now – and his spirit is free to fly. . . . . .see you in the stars!

Thank you Lord for our wonderful friend.

John and Sharon
