Bonnie B. Collick

Bonnie B. Collick passed away Sunday morning, May 23, 2021 at the Life Care Center of Plainwell.

Bonnie was born on October 16, 1926 in Hastings, Michigan, the third of nine children born to William and Eva (Walters) Ellsworth. Life in a big family kept everyone busy.  After high school Bonnie married Thomas Collick.  They were blessed with five children.  Thomas and Bonnie welcomed other members of their large extended family to live with them if they came upon hard times.  Tending to her home and family filled her days.  It was always a treat to load everyone up and head for the drive in theater in Hastings on a Friday night and watch the latest movie.  After her children were grown Bonnie ,  used to staying busy,  took a job at Kal Equip.  Her greatest joy was having her grandchildren around and when she became a great grandmother she would have her great grandchildren over for a pizza party or for chicken nuggets.

Survivors include her children, Tom (Linda Bettie) Collick of Plainwell, Ron (Lenna) Collick of Otsego, Connie (Kenneth) Bushouse of Otsego and Lonnie (Martha) Collick of Plainwell; grandchildren, Trina, Laurie, T.J., Teresa, Amy, Kathy, Tracey, Kimberly, Casey, Robert and Rachel; 20 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband,  son, Gerald, daughter-in-law Elaine, sisters, Pearle Browne and Vera Clinton,   brothers Howard, Richard, Frank, Ray, Fred and Leon.

Cremation will take place with burial of her ashes next to her husband Thomas at Mountain Home Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
