Betty Jean Stoughton Galloway of Chiefland, Florida, formerly of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023.
Betty was born in Otsego on January 3, 1924. She worked as a shipping and receiving clerk for the Allied Paper Company, also as a school bus driver for the Otsego Public Schools and homemaker. She lived in Otsego until 1973 moving to Kalamazoo, then in 2007 moved to Chiefland, Florida. She had been spending her fall and winters in Florida for several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Audrey Stoughton; brothers, Donald, Marvin and Morris Stoughton; sisters, Shirley Campbell and Eva Belden; sons, Kenneth Dale Galloway and David Lee Galloway; former husband, Kenneth Ford Galloway and companion, Franklin Lynn.
Betty is survived by her sister, Linda (Ted) Clark of Kingsville, Texas; one sister-in-law, Jean Stoughton; four grandchildren, Renee Martin, Ryan Galloway, Rayden Galloway and Eric Galloway; 9 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her caregiver, Lavonia Luke.

riends may meet with Betty’s family starting at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M., with Lee Stoughton officiating.
Burial will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery, Otsego.
