Beryl Quarry

Beryl Quarry of Otsego passed away Friday, July 26, 2013 in Kalamazoo. Beryl was born June 27, 1930 in Midland to Arthur and Frances (Blanchard) Yankle. Beryl graduated from Allegan High School and had worked for Parker Hannifin for 31 years and was a Life Member of the Otsego VFW Post3030 Ladies Auxiliary. In her leisure time she enjoyed painting, knitting, crocheting and making treats during the holidays for her family. She also adopted rescue dogs and in her early days enjoyed motorcycling. She made sure she had birthday cards for each of her children before she died. On October 9, 1948 she married

Robert Quarry

who preceded her in death in 2011.

Surviving are her children, Maria (Frank) Scarsella of Delton, Roberta (Larry) Karenko of Las Vegas, NV, Steven (Barbara) Quarry of Otsego, David (Diane ) Quarry of Allegan, Terry (Jackie) Quarry of Mansfield, OH, Sharon (Joseph) Case of Martin; a daughter-in-law Jo Quarry of Otsego; 17 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Robert Jr., a grandson Justin and her brother Marlowe Yankle.

Friends may meet with her family from 4 to 5 P.M. Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at the

Winkel Funeral Home

, Otsego, where a service will be held at 5:00 P.M. with Pastor Don Hendricks officiating. Contributions in memory of Beryl may be made to the

American Cancer Society

, the

Salvation Army

or the VFW Post 3030 Ladies Auxiliary.

Beryl, wonderful neighbor and friend, we will miss you so much – we loved spending time with you and Sonny on your walks by our house. Our prayers to Beryl’s family, she will always be remembered as such a wonderful woman and friend.
