. Mr. Baker was born
June 15, 1940
in Otsego to Robert and Frances (Rolston) Baker and had been a lifelong resident of the area. For 41 ½ years he was employed with Plainwell Paper Co. Benny was a member of the Men’s Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post #3030. On
July 17, 1965
in Plainwell he married Charlene Strandt, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Deborah (Rob) Thomas, Cheryl Baker and Susan Oetman (Norm Smith) all of Plainwell; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; his siblings, Joann Ward, Bob (Vicki) Baker, Susan (Fred) Brock, Peggy (Dick) Remaly, Linda (Jim) Meador, Mike (Tammy) Baker; a brother-in-law, Charles Strandt; 2 aunts, Barbara Rink and Helen Myers; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Benny was preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother, Florence Bent; his sister, Betty Mignery; and a granddaughter. Friends may meet the family today from 4 to 8 P.M. at the
Winkel Funeral Home in
Otsego
where services will be held Saturday at
10:00 A.M.
, Mr. William Rose officiating. Cremation will follow.
