I cannot make myself believe this is real. I shared so much time and we have so many great memories with this man I wouldn’t even know where to start! It was an honor and a privilege to have his friendship. He shared his family with me and made them, my own. I’m so deeply saddened it is hard to even breathe!
I am going to miss this man every day, for the rest of my life ~

Sandy, Lisa and Brandon – Last summer I got a kick out of watching Barry go around the neighborhood with the grandkids either on their bikes or on the 4 wheeler, they all looked like they were having a blast! It breaks my heart to hear of his passing, I’ll be keeping you all in my thoughts during this time.

I am so sorry for your unexpected loss for Sandy, the kids and the grand kids. I love how Lisa put that because of his donations of tissues and organ, 75 more Papa’s will live. With time I pray you will find peace in what appears to have been an avoidable accident. There are a great deal of people with a lot of good memories of this generous man. He will be close to your hearts.

There’s a reason we called you uncle Barry.
You became a friend as I grew up, memories of Euchre and giant boxes of pizza and bowling. Barry thanks for making an impact on my life, you are a great person. You are missed buddy. I light one in your honor. Rest well.

From Veronika Velert (Aunt Hilde) English Translation of her message:
From Austria)Switzerland
I am Aunt Hilde, Martha’s sister and the last of the Schreiner children!
I met Barry only twice and each time he warmed my heart like a good fireside; with attentions like champagne and flowers that he had brought to our hotel. I was able to treat him to tortilla the second time I saw him. He radiated so much “joie de vivre”, so he will always be unforgettable to us! Our whole family here in Europe wish the bereaved family strength and beautiful memories of Barry!
