Barbara J. Roy

Barb passed away, Saturday, June 22, 2024, at her home in Plainwell. 

She was born December 23, 1937, in Vicksburg, the daughter of Charles and Nancy “Virginia” (Moore) Dee. Barb worked as a nurse’s aide at several area nursing homes until her retirement.

In her free time Barb liked going to the casino, following the Detroit Tigers, cooking, taking drives, spending time in her barn and enjoying a cold beer. On November 3, 1978, in Otsego, she married Eugene Roy who passed away in 1993. 

Surviving are her children, David (Sherry) Meyer of Otsego, Cynthia (Rodney) Tompkins of Otsego, Lauri (Jerry) Connor of Otsego, Ben (Angie) Meyer of Otsego and Vikki Meyer of Plainwell; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Harm Meyer Jr.; infant daughter, Terri Meyer and siblings, Shirley Jameson and Kenneth Dee. 

Friends may visit with Barb’s family starting at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 27, 2024, at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Ray Brown officiating. 

Burial will follow at St. Margaret Cemetery in Otsego.
