Barbara K. Jager
Barbara passed away peacefully Sunday, January 18, 2015 at her home in Plainwell.
She was born August 13, 1941 in Three Rivers to Irvin and Ardith (Lovejoy) Briggs. For 25 years she worked for First of America Bank as a teller and continued through the change to National City and PNC, retiring in 2005. Barb enjoyed volunteering at Plainwell School’s Hand to Hand program, blood drives and helping at the voting booths. In her leisure time she liked to knit and play dominos with her girlfriends. Barb had amazing sewing skills, a meticulous lawn, and was known for her world famous potato salad. On January 28, 1961 she married Stanley Jager who survives.
Also surviving are her daughters, Cristine Black and Jodi (Troy) Sevigny; grandsons, Drake and Chase Black and Logan and Carson Sevigny and her sister, Marsha Loveland.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
According to her wishes cremation has taken place.
The family extends an invitation to a Celebration of Life gathering to be held Monday, January 26, 2015 from 3 to 6pm at the Gun Plain Township Hall, 381 8
th
Street, Plainwell, MI.

so very sorry……I started writing poetry a few years back,so I’ll offer this to you at this difficult time………
IN TIMES OF GRIEF AND SORROW
In your life there will be times of great sorrow and loss.
Which brings more into play,what happened upon the cross.
A time to reflect on good times past.
With memories that are so fluently vast.
Where do we turn for comfort to ease our pain?
Who will soothe our thoughts and help us to maintain?
Family and friends will surely help comprehending.
But its the LORD who will guide you to peace and understanding.
With leaving your loved one in the hands of the LORD.
Your peace and serenity will soon be restored.
With His awesomeness and compassion.
Comfort will be achieved with love and satisfaction.
Knowledge of their Christian faith will put them to rest in a much better place.
As well as knowing He will be holding them in full embrace.
And with your own true Christian faith that awaits.
In time, you will be together inside of Heaven’s Gate.

Barb was my first cousin and we grew up together, just two blocks away in Three Rivers MI. We were one extended family.
Due to life’s whimsey’s I haven’t seen Barb in over 40 years, but the memories live on.
She was a pistol then, and I’m sure her basic nature hadn’t changed too much over time. My love and condolences to all of her family and friends.

To Stan and Family, We were so shocked tonight to read the Shopper’s Guide and see that you lost Barb. We had no idea that she had been ill.
