Barbara J. Sebesta

Barb passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.

She was born February 14, 1949 in Plainwell the daughter of Erwin and Ruth (Radke) Honeysett. Barb graduated from Otsego High School in 1967. She worked for Parker Hannifin Pneumatics in Richland for almost 30 years, retiring just over 7 years ago. Barb enjoyed antiques, especially antique dolls. In 2004 she was married to John E. Sebesta who had been her companion since 1985.

Survivors include her father, Erwin; husband, John; children, Jerry Howe of Plainwell, Rebecca (Adam Posther) Howe of Kalamazoo; stepchildren, Deb (Bob) Ross of St. Claire Shores, John (Kim) Sebesta of Hamilton, Don Sebesta and Dan (Jennifer) Sebesta both of Allegan; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jason, Alex, Taylor, Carly, Johnathan and Audrey; great-grandchildren, Constantine, Dawson and Kayla; and her sisters, Sandra McInterfer and Joann Kennedy both of Gobles. She was preceded in death by her mother.

According to her wishes cremation has taken place and no public services are scheduled at this time.

So sorry to hear about Barb’s passing. We first met in 6th grade and rapidly became best friends. We remained friends throughout high school, but sadly I lost track of her. Prayers and sympathy to her family.

She was such a pleasant person to be around. I never ever heard her say a bad word about anybody. She was such a soft spoken person who loved her family and friends. R.I.P. Barbie.
