Barbara J. Pickard

Barbara went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 4, 2018 at her home in Plainwell.

She was born July 6, 1939 in Sparta, the daughter of William and Nina (Merritt) Jordan. Barb had worked at Life Care Center of Plainwell for several years.

In her spare time she loved to shop and enjoyed bowling, traveling up north to Mackinaw City, working in her yard in her flower beds, taking care of her dogs and spending time with her friends and family. She was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Plainwell.

On August 28, 1967 she married Lawrence Pickard who passed away in 2003.

Surviving are son, Larry (Tina) Pickard of Plainwell, grandchildren, Amanda (Eric) Ramsey of NC and Todd (Bridgett) Cronkhite of Plainwell; great-grandson, Emmett Cronkhite and brothers, Ed (Diane) Jordan of Allendale and Dick (Arlene) Jordan of Marne.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, William and sister, Judy.

According to her wishes cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Plainwell with Pastor Steve Smail officiating.

Larry and Tina , I was so sadden to read about your moms passing . She was a wonderful,person and I enjoyed her and her stories so much ! I will miss her . God bless

Sorry for your lost. I knew Barb from living in the trailer park from 1989-1999. Thoughts and prayers to the family.
