Barbara Johnson of Otsego, Michigan, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 8, 2010. Mrs. Johnson was born August 26, 1931 in Plainwell to Floyd and Harriet (Boulter) McLoud and was a lifelong resident of the area. For 12 years she managed Brumm’s Gallery in Plainwell until her retirement in 2000. Barbara was member of the United Methodist Church of Otsego. In her leisure time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, ancestry research and family get-togethers. On August 12, 1950, in Otsego she was married to Ira Johnson, who died in 1988. She was also preceded in death by her parents and by her sister, Shirley Hill. Surviving are four children, James (Rhonda) Johnson of Plainwell, Janet (Carl) Summers of Kansas, David (Brenda) Johnson of Georgia and Brian (Marilyne) Johnson of Otsego; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; her brother, Joseph (Georgia) McLoud of Illinois; 7 nieces and nephews. Friends may meet Barbara’s family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, Pastor Joe Shaler officiating. Burial at Mountain Home Cemetery, Otsego, will follow.
