Austin Pickworth-Vandentoorn

Austin W. Pickworth-Vandentoorn of Scottsdale, AZ passed away March 18, 2022 in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was born May 14, 1995, in Albion, Michigan, the son of Kenneth Pickworth and Henrietta Letts. He was adopted by John and Andrea Vandentoorn.

Austin enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a dedicated athlete and MMA fighter. Most of all Austin loved being a dad. Surviving are his parents; son, Austin K. Pickworth of Arizona; sisters, Nicole LaLane Naumann of Otsego and Tiffany Crosby of Saranac; 7 nieces and nephews and grandparents, John and Betty Letts and Henrietta Letts.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jerry and Lorraine Earls; aunts, Tina Pickworth and Jerri-Jo; uncle, Bobbi; cousins, Haley Moull and Felicia Mixx and best friend, Gary Drobny. Friends may meet with Austin’s family starting at 10 A.M. until the time of service at 11 A.M. Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego with Pastor Dave Ives officiating. Burial will follow at Alamo Center Cemetery.

I hope everyone can find some sort of healing through this. I never met Austin, but man his fights were always fun to watch. The heavens got a champion up there with them. My families thoughts and prayers are with any of you hurting.

I just found about Austin’s passing this week , what a good kid, he sent me rocks from where ever he was living about a year or so ago. I still have them.

My condolences to the family. I’m praying for his little son.
