July 2, 1908
in Kelloggsville to Isaac and Jennie (Edema) Deurloo. For many years he was employed as a milk processor with area dairies, including
Holland
’s Dairy, Dutch Maid Dairy, Kalamazoo Creamery and Lockshore Dairy. Following his retirement he worked for 10 years at Bob’s Hardware in Otsego and for 20 years rebuilding lawnmowers. Augie was a longtime active member of the First Baptist Church of Otsego. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapping, cribbage, chess and checkers. He especially enjoyed growing fruit, gardening and picking berries. Augie loved being with his kids and grandkids. On March 16, 1931 in Otsego he married the former Clara Upson and together they celebrated 74 years of marriage. Clara died

. Also preceding him in death were two brothers and five sisters, Orin and John Deurloo, Josephine Barton, Grace Mulder, Cora Holland, Agnes Schimp and Jennie Meijer, and two infant sisters. Surviving are two daughters and two sons, Marilyn Lee Bellingar of Allegan, Barbara June Kissinger of Scotts, James (Helen) Deurloo of Delton and Steven (
Kandy
) Deurloo of Allegan; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Friends may meet the family from 2 to 4 and

Sunday at the
Winkel Funeral Home,
Otsego.
Funeral services will be held at
2:00 P.M.
Monday at the First Baptist Church of Otsego with Pastor David DeCook and Pastor Don DeYoung officiating. Cremation will follow with burial of ashes at
Trowbridge
Methodist
Cemetery
at a later date. Contributions in memory of Augie may be made to the American Diabetes Association, In-House Hospice Solutions or the Kidney Foundation.
