Arnold ‘Arnie’Kruithoff of Otsego passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013 in Plainwell. Mr. Kruithoff was born July 27, 1924 in Allegan to Henry and Mildred (Brenner) Kruithoff. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army, a Past Commander, District Commander, Life Member and Honor Guard member of VFW Post 3030. Arnie worked for the MacSimBar/Mead from 1944 to 1987 and was an avid Harley Davidson Rider.
Surviving are his children, Bruce (Joey) Kruithoff of Kalamazoo, Roger (Annie) Kruithoff of Kalamazoo, Tom Kruithoff of Otsego and Barbara (Mike) Duff of Gowen; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wives, Ann and Ruth, his grandson Scott, a sister Betty Mooney and daughter-in-law Judy.
Friends may meet with his family from 1 to 4 P.M. Sunday at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, where services will be held Monday at 1:00 P.M., with Celebrant Bill Rose officiating. Military Honors by VFW Post #3030. Cremation will follow with burial of ashes at a later date.
Contributions in memory of Arnie may be made to Reverence Home Hospice.

Sorry to learn of Arnie’s passing. My parents were Tony and Helen Khodl and I remember them speaking well of Arnie, of the VFW Post #3030, and his beloved motorcycle. May memories bring you some comfort at this sad time.

So sorry to hear about Arnies passing. i have many fond memories of taking motorcycle trips with him and Annie along with my in laws,Mel and Irene Sutton.He was always good for a laugh. Good times. May he rest in peace.
