Our love goes out to all the family at this difficult time. Ardith will be missed dearly, she was a really special woman to her family and so many more including myself. She was like a second “Mom” to me during my high school years and I was so blessed to have her in my life. She was a beautiful person inside and out! Hugs to all.

Dear Arnold and Family,
We loved Ardith so much! She was so much a part of our life in our early years of marriage! The ceramic classes we had in her house were always so fun! I still have many pieces that she helped me make! She would be the one to paint the eyes on my animals! Tim and I enjoyed going into Boulter’s to buy knick knacks and all the beautiful items she kept in the store. Please know that Ardith is now an Angel in Heaven watching over you! Blessings to all of you!

Arnold and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Ardith was such a special woman. Our daughter Katie spent many wonderful hours playing with Korene at your house. She was always bringing home some special project that she had created with Ardith! I also enjoyed taking classes with Ardith at OPS. She has left wonderful memories for family and friends. She will be missed.

Where to start. We rented our very first house from Arnold and Ardith, right next door to them on Morrell Street. The first day, Ardith came over with a dinner of salad and a huge turkey leg. Just the beginning of her never-ending kindness. From ceramic classes to rides on the pontoon boat to “spend the night on the island”. It is so hard to think that I will never see her smiling face or hear her happy voice. She was my “mother” – let me sleep at their house when we were first married and Larry was gone. She was a friend – Larry and I would often just “show up” for dinner on Sunday. We were always welcome and felt like part of the family. Our condolences to Kevin, Kurt, Brenda and Korene. God’s angel here on earth is now one of his special angels in heaven.

To my grandfather, father, aunts and uncle,
Each one of you have played an important part of my life. Grandma was my first employer, the developer of my ever growing work ethic, the model and molder of my parenting, the integral maker of childhood memories, and one of the only people that I know that can cook for 30 people, provide for 30 people, and keep the peace among 30 people. We all share fond memories of her. She will be dearly missed. We have all lost a part of us this week, but I feel that we will forever have that one story of her, that we hold dear to ourselves, that we can share with one another, and know exactly what we are talking about. I love you all.

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of such a wonderful person. In Ardith the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) Gun Lake Area club and I found a caring and enthusiastic volunteer who helped with many local programs and projects. She continued her support of the club when her health was hindering her and finally had to discontinue her membership. She has been and will be missed! Go with God, Ardith.

Dear Boulter Family,
I’m very sorry for the death that you’ve experienced in your family recently. There are some scriptures found in gods word, that have encouraged me in the past when it comes to losing one of our loved ones. John 11:25 says… “He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.”
I also agree with the bible when it says at Acts 24:15… That “there will be a resurrection, of both the righteous and unrighteous“! Revelation 21:4 states “ Death will be no more.” “The former things have passed away.” What a wonderful time to live when these scriptures will be fulfilled!
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.. please know that I’m thinking of you and your family during this hardship.
Thank you for your time,
Sincerely,
Chastity Aniol

I worked for Kurt at KJB Graphics years ago. I remember Mrs. Boulter popping in to say good morning or to share a funny anecdote. She was such a special person, a great asset to the community and to all of you the best Mom (or Grandma or Great Grandma) possible. Not to mention the fact that she ran the classiest hardware store ever! What an amazing, talented and energetic woman, she was one of a kind. I am so sorry for your family’s loss.

To Ardith, Arnold, and the rest of the Boulter family tree
I was very fortunate during my life to have Ardith and Arnold as my bosses for my first real job at the hardware store during 1994-95, my last two years of high school at Otsego High. I can easily say she and Arnold were two of the best bosses I will ever have. Their warm and friendly spirits touched many people during their time downtown as they made an impressive mark in Otsego’s history and its people.
Ardith was truly a wonderful and caring woman. I can visualize her smile and hear her laugh right now. From reading all the comments above, it’s easy to see how much of an impact she made far beyond the hardware and gift stores. Someone that touches that many lives in a positive way is definitely a role model of character to those of us who have had minutes, hours, and days with her. Let us keep her spirit alive in our hearts and continue to spread the joy, caring, love, and friendship we have received from her. Ardith, you will be missed.
Arnold and the rest of the family, my family’s deepest condolences go out to you. Arnold, may you rest in the thankfulness of your time together. All, know from the comments above and my experience knowing her that she led a fulfilled life, one of love and tenderness. I dearly appreciated my time with her (and Arnold), if only a fraction of the moments you’ve all shared with her over the years. Many blessings and peace upon all of you during this time as we gather together in mourning, thought, prayer, and celebration of Ardith’s time on this Earth. May God’s Grace be felt and accepted as we reflect on His child Ardith that we are so grateful to know.
God Bless you Ardith,
Thank you,
Anthony
