Annette Greene

Annette Greene of Otsego, Michigan passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013, in Kalamazoo. Mrs. Greene was born January 20, 1933 in Latham, TN to Benjamin and Oma Nell (Maxey) Ivie. A devoted homemaker, Annette had a great love for her family. She enjoyed playing board games with her grandchildren, watching game shows and was an avid bowler. She was famous in her family for her cooking and made the best biscuits in town.

On June 15, 1953 in Ferndale, MI she married James Greene, who passed in 2002. Also preceding her in death were a brother, William Ivie, and a sister, Bobbie Nell Moskus. Surviving are her son, Bryan (Cindy) Greene of Otsego; three grandchildren, Katherine (Logan) Dolnik, Rebekah Greene and James David Greene; a sister, Norma ‘Susie’ (George) Ilich of Wixom; a brother, Dennis (Linda) Ivie of Whitmore Lake; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may meet with Annette’s family from 10 to 11:30 on Thursday at the Plainwell Church of Christ where a funeral service will be held at 11:30, Mr. David Cushman officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery, Otsego.

Contributions in memory of Annette may be made to the Plainwell Church of Christ.

Dear Bryan, Cindy, and family,

I am so glad I got to see my “Aunt Netsie” last summer. I wish I could attend the funeral but I just can not make it. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you today and in the coming weeks.

Remember all the good times and cherish those precious memories!
