Ann, Roger, Aaron & Jason, Valerie, and Amy’s Sons:

My heart sunk when I heard about Amy and instantly her smile flashed into my mind and her love for all of you. Thank you for the pleasure of being with your family over the years, for allowing me to babysit for her and the boys when I was a teenager and my heart pours out to all of you.

As I shared with Tina today on facebook, “Amy would want us to remember her with laughter and to celebrate her life and how she lived and not how she left us.” My love, my thoughts, my prayers and my tears for all of you and her beautiful boys. May God lift you up and wrap his arms around you during this time.

To Valerie: My Godmother…I know how much you meant to Amy and the special bond you two had with one another as I had the same bond with my Grandma. Take peace knowing that Gene was there to greet her at heaven’s gates with open, loving arms!

With love,

Melissa (Wason) Chavez

I am truly lost for words. Amy was one of the most bubbly, friendly people you could possibly meet. Amy was always smiling or trying to make others smile. Growning up with the whole Kortokrax family and the great times that we had will always stay with me. My heart is broken for her immediate family as well as her extended family and friends. My family can and only hope and pray that her family and friends can find some peace in this time of sorrow. We will always have fond memories of you Amy.

You may feel pain and sadness,

Lost, confused and all alone.

Longing for your daughter, mother, sister and friend

The one whom you once could hold.

To bring Amy back

Would be the desire of your heart

You believe you cannot bear

From her, being apart

But remember My child

She is not gone for an eternity

For she has just gone on a journey

To a place your eyes cannot see

Amy has gone up the mountain called Zion.

High above the clouds.

She has gone to the place

Where God’s love abounds

And when Jesus returns

With a loud trumpet sound

That is when you will join Amy to the place she has gone

The Heavenly choir will sing, rejoice and shout with glee

For another family has been reunited and the sorrow, pain and grief has ceased.

There you will finally see Jesus

And before Him you will stand

As He wipes away each of your tears

With His Gentle hand

Then He will lead you

To Amy because He knows how much you have missed

And He will watch as you rejoice with her

And bless you with a kiss

Then you will know

That Amy had to leave you behind

But she didn’t leave you forever

But, only for a time

It is our blessed hope

It is God’s promise to you

He has kept a place for us

And one day we will all be there soon

So, through your tears, sorrow and pain please call on Him

And allow Him to comfort and hold you each day

For He has brought Amy, His precious child and saint home

To where she has peace, joy, healing and is completely whole.

I know you don’t understand why this had to be

But please my friends know that Amy is not in the place she lay, she has finally entered the promise land prepared for us all one day. Celebrate her beautiful life and all the memories, hold her close in your heart and remember Jesus has provided her with VICTORY! Death has no sting for those who are His, for the breath He had given her when she came into this world, is the breath that He received the day He brought her home.

Comfort one another, it’s ok to shed tears but please don’t allow the enemy to torment you or make you fear. God has Amy and the enemy did not win. For she is ALIVE and will never be hurt again!

Amy was a third grade student of mine at St. Margaret’s. I remember her beautiful smile! Even that long ago, she and Tina were good friends. I hadn’t had contact with Amy since she grew into a lovely young woman but I know she was very much loved by all who called her their friend. My condolences to her children and her parents. May God comfort you at this most difficult time.

There are no words….Every childhood memory came back in a flash. Growing up on Schnable Lake with the Kortokrax family, Amy was my first childhood friend and always the better, sweeter half of our duo. Just us two girls against those pesky boys, right Amy? God has indeed received an angel in Heaven.

From the first day we saw Amy…..such a toe headed little freckle face….the first to show a sunburn on Schnable Lake, always soft spoken, the shy one of the two girls…playing Barbie dolls, putting on make-up, playing school…..Yes……God has a beautiful new angel in heaven….He knows the Amy we have all seen over the years and will miss so very much. There are no words to say how very sorry we are for this tragic loss. You are all in our loving thoughts and prayers.

To Amy’s entire family:

There are no words that I can offer to take your pain away; if there were I would surely use them. Amy and I were high school friends who kept in touch throughout the years and I looked forward to our yearly visits where we would all “let our hair down” and enjoyed the night. All of us girls had “big” plans to head to Las Vegas for a girls only celebration when we turn the big 4-0! I know she will still be with all of us making sure that we don’t get in too much trouble:) She was an amazing friend, daughter, and especially a mother. Please find comfort in the fact that she was loved by so many and will never be forgotten. May God continue to give you strength to carry on through this horrific time.

Lots of love and prayers to all of you,

I also knew Amy through real estate. I haven’t spoken to you in years, since the Pipp Hospital days actually.
