. Dick was born

October 3, 1936

in Plainwell to Eugene and Ivah (Belcher) McPherson and was a longtime resident of Otsego. For about 25 years he owned and operated McPherson TV & Appliance until his retirement. He loved hunting, fishing and shooting skeet and trap at Gun River Skeet and Trap. Dick was a member of the Elks Lodge #1711, the Moose Lodge #345, the V.F.W. Post #3030, the Gun River Conservation Club and Gun River Skeet & Trap. On

December 21, 1957

at the Otsego Congregational Church he married Emelie Hemenway, who survives. Also surviving are two children, Richard ‘Rick’ McPherson of Otsego and Anna Marie (Mike) Smith of Kalamazoo; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and his brother, Don McPherson. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. Contributions in memory of Dick may be made to the Gun River Conservation Club or Christian Neighbors.
