to Lloyd ‘Bud’ and Ruth (McCafferty) Chapman. Alane graduated from

Otsego

High School

(

Michigan

) in 1980. On

November 7, 1992

in the

township

of

Trowbridge

in

Michigan

she married Dell LaFountain and they began their life journey. While enjoying life in

Wisconsin

she was employed as a cook at

Emmanuel

Lutheran

School

for 14 years. She leaves her husband of 17 years, Dell LaFountain of New London, WI; son, Zane (Elisha) Chapman of Little Chute, WI; daughter, Renee LaFountain of New London, WI; son, Heath LaFountain of New London, WI; step-son, Richard (Kelly) LaFountain of Michigan; four grandchildren, Ariana Chapman and Casey, Kendra and Kyler LaFountain; her mother, Ruth Chapman of Otsego; a brother, Allen (Karrie Ann) Chapman of Michigan; a sister, Carie (Jerry) Rife of Michigan; nieces and nephews, Lloyd, Jason and Ruth Chapman and Brittany, Breanna and Jimi Chapman. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Allen and Leona McCafferty, and paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Sarah Chapman, and by her father, Bud Chapman in 1986. Alane was a mother before anything else. She derived much enjoyment from spending time with her cherished loved ones. Activities she enjoyed with her family included hunting, fishing, going to races, coaching her children’s sports teams and having cookouts in the backyard. She lived fearlessly and inspired all she encountered. She will be greatly missed in the roles she filled in the family as a wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, granddaughter, aunt, sister, niece and friend.

You are forever in our hearts and will never be forgotten. Our love for you lasts an eternity.

Alane’s family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and

6 to 8 P.M.

Monday at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego

where services will be held at

11:00 A.M.

Tuesday, with her uncle, Ted Ransbottom, officiating. Burial will follow at

Mountain

Home

Cemetery

, Otsego. A memorial service in

New London

will be announced later. Contributions in memory of Alane may be made to a college fund for her grandchildren (please make checks payable to Ruth Chapman).
