Agnes Rosemary Dean

Agnes passed away, Monday, July 15, 2024, at Kauhale in Otsego. 

She was born in Lennon, Michigan, on November 25, 1925, the daughter of Michael and Anna Poprick. Agnes had many jobs over the years, including purchasing secretary at Brundage Fan, manager of an art gallery in Kalamazoo and was an assistant to Dr. Redmond also in Kalamazoo.

She taught 4-H classes and was an RCIA instructor. Agnes was a woman of strong faith and was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and the League of Mary. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and entertaining family and friends. On November 5, 1946, she married Thomas L. Dean who passed away in 1994. 

Surviving are her children, Sharon Dean Lynch, Tom (Kathleen) Dean, Peggy (Martin) Gochnour, Michael L. Dean and Patrick T. (Janet) Dean; 10 grandchildren, Kristin, Matthew, Aaron, Jacob, Brittany, Danielle, Michael Jr., Jeffrey, Andrea and Rachel and 4 great-grandchildren, Shelby, Bailey, Jon Austin and Brice. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas; grandchildren, Matthew and Rachel; siblings, Mary Newsome and Betty Nieding and by her half-brothers, Frank and John Gall. 

Burial was held at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta.  The memorial mass which was to be held at St. Margaret Catholic Church on August 16th has been cancelled.
